What is Authyo OTP for Met Form?
A WordPress plugin that adds OTP verification to MetForm forms. Visitors verify their email address and/or phone number with a one-time code before the form is submitted.
Does it require MetForm?
Yes. MetForm is the form builder; Authyo is the OTP layer on top of it. You also need an Authyo account to deliver OTPs.
How do I add Authyo OTP to MetForm?
Open your form in MetForm (Elementor) and add an Authyo Email or Authyo Phone widget. Save the form — verification activates automatically, with no extra per-form toggle.
Which OTP channels are supported?
Email, SMS, WhatsApp and Voice Call. Voice Call is currently available in India.
Can users choose their verification method?
Yes. You can optionally let visitors choose between the phone OTP delivery methods, such as SMS, WhatsApp or Voice Call.
Can I use Email and Phone OTP together?
Yes. Add both the Authyo Email and Authyo Phone widgets to the same form to verify both contacts.
Can visitors skip verification?
Only if you allow it. Optional verification is an admin-controlled setting, and the entry is recorded as skipped rather than verified.
How does OTP fallback work?
If the primary method doesn't work, visitors can try another one — for example, switching from SMS to WhatsApp.
Can I configure the country dropdown?
Yes. Show all countries, limit it to selected countries, or lock it to a single country.
Can I change OTP expiry and resend settings?
Yes. OTP length, expiry, resend cooldown and the maximum number of resend attempts are configurable.
What happens if my Authyo wallet balance is insufficient?
OTPs can't be delivered without balance. The failsafe lets the submission continue so the lead isn't lost — top up your wallet to resume verification. See the plugin documentation for details.
Can I view verified MetForm submissions?
Yes. The plugin lists form entries with their verification status alongside the full submission data.
Is user OTP data permanently stored in WordPress?
OTPs are short-lived and verified through Authyo. WordPress keeps the form entry and its verification status, not the code itself. Check the plugin documentation for specifics.
