What is Authyo ChatLead?

ChatLead is a WordPress plugin that captures leads through a conversation instead of a static form. Visitors chat, share their details, verify email or phone with OTP, and the lead lands in your WordPress dashboard.

Do I have to use the AI chatbot?

No. AI is an optional layer. You can run Unified mode (AI plus lead capture), AI Only, or Lead Capture Only — whichever suits the page.

How are leads verified?

ChatLead supports Email OTP and Phone OTP. A one-time code is sent to the contact the visitor entered, so you know it is real before it reaches your dashboard.

Where are leads stored and managed?

Lead data is stored in your site's WordPress database. The lead dashboard tracks status (New, Read, Connected), and supports filtering, searching and bulk status actions.

Can I customise the questions?

Yes. A drag-and-drop form builder lets you arrange the chat flow with Name, Email, Phone, Message, Number and Address fields, and set labels, placeholders, required and OTP options.

How do I add it to my site?

Use the [authyo_chatlead] shortcode for lead capture or [authyo_ai_chat] for the AI chat, or deploy the optional floating chat widget. The legacy [chatlead_by_authyo] shortcode is still supported.

How does ChatLead protect data?

OTP verification confirms contacts, stored API keys are encrypted, the AI chat endpoint is rate limited, and lead data stays in your own WordPress database.
